I cut some dots.......

I started with the largest piece of fabric I had but I think this one is too dark and doesn't add anything.
I only have half or quarter yards of the rest of the dots. I tried this green with pink dots. I'm not getting excited yet.
I liked the white "holes" that were showing on the design board so I tried a white with lime green dots next. This one looks the best to me, but I may try a black and white print next.
Our rain stopped mid morning yesterday and the sun came out in time to dry the grass before the party at my neighbor's yard in the afternoon. My neighbor is the daughter of one of my good quilting friends and I was invited so I went over and met the sisters in law that my friend is always telling me about. They have extensive sewing backgrounds too so we had a lot of fun talking.

It is so much fun to audition fabrics on the design wall. I am not so sure which color I like best. I am thinking almost the second choice. But I think I would like to see the black and white print next too. That might be really striking.

Somehow I would feel the need to use ALL of the dot fabrics! I agree, I like the lighter one best so far.

None of these are "rocking my world" :)....I'm anxious to see the black/white! After saying that, though, I know I'll love whatever you end up doing. You put your design wall to such good use. It's fun for us to be able to watch!

I like the lighter ones better than the pink. Will be interesting to see the black and white too.

It never hurts to try another fabric! I like the last one OK, but I'm afraid if you used it, it would like you settled for it rather than chose it.

wait, are you planning on only using one of the dot fabrics? I thought you were going to mix and match them in where-ever. I like the idea of using all the different colored dots. Be Exuberant!!!

What fun. Now I'm aching to go play with some fabric.

Hi Wanda,
Those dots looked so wild by themselves, but next to the Kaffe fabrics they seem a little too tame.
It's fun watching the tryout process.
I'm rooting for a black and white zinger!

I like the last one best but I'm saving my opinion until I see the black and white.

The green polka dots on white fabric looks best to me, because the magenta material tends to swallowing some of the frames.

I like the lightest one best too, but I'm expecting to be wowed by the black and white.

I love your quilts.

Black and white zebra?

You're right. You have not hit it yet.

Don't you just love all of our opinions? We all seem to look at color differently.

Each one of these blocks are so strong. I agree with Vicky F at this point.

So far, I'm liking the "white holes." I'm curious, too, about the black and white. Beautiful work!

I enjoy seeing your "quilts in progress". I like seeing the different layouts, the different background possibilities, and the way you have sketched out your layout. I appreciate seeing the progression of your design process. It opens new avenues of ideas for me that I may not have thought of before. Thank you so much for taking me on this design journey.

I always look forward to the new ideas you will have next on your blog. Have I told you lately that I think your are super?

I like the dots. I'm partial to the red.

Somehow I think a black and white background is going to be perfect for those blocks. I like the white with lime green dots, but it seems a bit tame for those blocks. I can't wait to see what you try next.

I'm waiting for the black and white too. The other ones don't seem to do the beautiful blocks justice.

I'm digging the pink one best.

I like the last very light one one best. But I would have to see something very very dark with this, first...like a black and white print before I could make up my mind!
