Just playing with Kaffe

I am between projects but didn't want to sit idle while I watched 2 shows on TV last night. I picked up the clean up cut strips from a bunch of Kaffe Fassett fabrics and some rectangles left from another project and just played. It is all the way up to 8 degrees this morning at 9 a.m. The sun was shining most of the day yesterday so that helped to clean the streets off. One more day of cleaning and then I can start baking.

I love those. I wish I could "play" as well as you do! I think those would make interesting book covers OR nice pillows.

Know what I love most about your work? No fear! Your confidence with color is amazing and your results are always beautiful.

Oh Wanda~ I agree with Gene and Suzan both. Those blocks are so refreshing. The combination of dark, light, dark is so striking.

Hey we woke up to 20 degrees, after a few days of below zero.

We are at -22C. (-8F) with no sun, more snow, and the dullest dreary sky imaginable. I want to hibernate. Thanks for some wonderful color to jump start me into Thursday! Someone should tell Kaffe Fassett about you... you could be an advertisement!

I love the blocks and the fabrics. Looks like the making of a great new quilt!

I love them! There are two of each. Is that intentional? Can't wait to see what you do with these.

I recognize quite a few of those that are in my stash. You have to love Kaffe and his fabulous color!

Those are fun -- definitely look like the beginning of a new quilt! It's rather nice here -- right now it's 27 but it's not windy and feels rather refreshing.

I just love Kaffe fabrics and have actually met Kaffe 2 times!! He is very nice and down to earth. Not to mention he makes such fabulous fabric, yarns, books, etc. I love your blocks from the Kaffe fabrics.

I like those blocks very much.

Are you expecting the ten inches we are? It should be a snow day around here tomorrow if the weather report is correct.

Happy Holidays.

Hi Wanda,
It's amazing how well Kaffe's brights and lights go together. When they're on the bolt at the store, it's hard to see that aspect. You make us look at things with "new" eyes.
