I added the yellow/gold floral fabric to all 4 sides and trimmed it to the size I needed.
You can get a little more perspective of the size with the rotary cutter laying beside it.I could have agonized for hours on what quilting design to do on it, but getting it done was more important so I went with my first instinct of random diagonal lines. I used a yellow variegated thread, which doesn't show up that much but it made me happy using it.

I love it! It reminds me of the saying...when you are handed lemons, make lemonade. I try to live by that and yesterday you did just that as well! Great!!

Each year in late winter, I find myself digging out my yellow sweaters. I NEED yellow!
I'm really dreading the coming months of dark, though the bright blue sky with a bit of snow on the ground can brighten January a bit.
Today is pretty good, but burrrrrr!

I could hibernate in my quilt studio the entire time between the "fall back" and "spring forward" time changes ~ I have those wonderful daylight flourescents and lots of them... it is the "sunniest" room in our house and I feel so much better surrounded with light and color... Your yellow bag is marvelous and I'm so glad it made/makes you happy!
What a great way to use your sunshine yellow scraps. I am definitely the way you are, I need bright happy things during these winter months. Yellow is definitely one of those colors. I just posted about a strata quilt that I am making and they are exactly that bright happy yellows, purples, and hot pinks. They make my heart sing!!
You could have agonized for hours about how to quilt it but you couldn't have come up with a better quilting design.

Yellow therapy is a brilliant idea!!! I was looking at a quilt book last night thinking that maybe winter would be the time to do a yellow and white quilt!
