Here is the photo from yesterday so you can compare the changes in the lower left and the removal of the one orange block. I also changed one block on the top row.
This is what it looks like vertically. You can really see the line formed by the last row on the left in this photo. The camera really emphasizes the oranges. They are much softer in real life.

I've been here and watching... It is looking great. I like it... and think the bottom row is fine. Could it be that orange/pink one (next row up) throwing off your eye?
I look at this and it is hard for us to envision what you are going after for the final layout. Your current is really good and like Beth maybe the orange/pink is the factor, but you know what you want for the overall look. Chris
looking forward to seeing the end result - you always choose color really well!
I, too, have been watching this one progress. So cool to 'see' your process.
It just keeps getting prettier and prettier.
Seems like the bottom row Just needs to have some blocks turned so the light half butts against the body of the quilt and not the outside edge. It's looking lovely!
It looks terrific. The colors really blend and move the eye all the way through. I don't know how you could intuitively choose all those colors and have them all play together and not say scrappy.
Wanda, I just love this quilt. A true Wanda quilt.
It is Wandaliscious! I see the line you are annoyed with and I get why it annoys you. Without it, it would look like a shimmering pool with light reflecting off the surface. Just beautiful!
I am sure it will be perfect when you get done.
I have loved seeing this evolve. Just changing one or two blocks creates the blending. It is just stunning.
It's exciting to see your design coming together. This really is the fun part, moving the blocks around till you feel 'this is it!'

Wow! It's looking great!
You are amazing. As always. I do so love to see you work your magic blending the colors and fabrics.

It could be that you just need to change the value of the fabrics. Go with more of a medium than light color.
It is really a masterpiece. It's interesting how the orange blocks pop. I love orange, so it does bother me, but it would probably be better if they aren't as obvious if they aren't quite as noticeable, and I'll take your word that they're not.
