5 more blocks...........

Last night I got ten blocks cut out but only sewed five of them.

This is one of my favorite blocks so far.  I love unusual batiks.

Every mother leaving the restaurant yesterday got a rose.  I had picked the Jonquils and tulips from my gardens on Saturday.

I do love the wavy look in that fabric. I just scored some Kaffe fabric for $7.00 per yard. My friend is moving and is selling off some fabric.

I agree that it is a splendid block. Now, a question: what is the light fabric in the brown block (lower right)? It looks like potatoes or fat fingers. Oh dear....time to get my eyes checked???

I love the look of the batiks in that block - the wavy lines and the little squares are perfect together! And I went back and looked -- and oh, my! What a fabulous quilt that's going to be!

I went crazy buying 1/2 yard pieces of batiks a few weeks back, now I'm ready to start!! I found the pattern in a old book of mine called Corn & Beans. (?) I have no clue why it's called that. I'm trying to find another way to cut because it suggested cutting each triangle individually. Is that how you are doing it?

There are an impossible number of beautiful batiks, but I think I somehow easily get attracted to the ones with more graphic patterns - like the ones in your favorite block - as opposed to the ones with patterns that look more like plants, or are just vague.
This quilt is going to be a masterpiece.

THe fabrics give the block so much movement. Very nice!
