I have 36 blocks done

I played a little with layouts. The first one really has a 3-D effect. This second one is just alternating the light and dark blocks.
This third one is the layout that my quilt in the book had. There were dark setting triangles around that one so this looks really light with the flannel wall behind it.
It is fun when the students start playing with their blocks because not every group of fabrics look great in the same layout. The class is on Tuesday so I am ready.

It's amazing the differences you can create by changing the layouts.

I can see 3D in each of them. Amazing!

I love em ALL but think the first is my favorite! You are SO FAST!

Wow, not only are you quick, but what wonderful layouts! I really like them all. You are right, the first one definitely has that 3D effect!

Nice blocks. I think both ways in the first pic look 3D. The colors show up well next to each other too. Very pretty.

Nice layouts and I like them all, but the first one is so 3D...my favorite if I may pick a winner.

i love all three of your layouts, but I love the first one the most. I feel like I could just walk right into it. Those colors are wonderful!

Your students will love their class with you. And I'm sure will want those same colors. The variety of designs is what makes it so much fun.

Goodness, Wanda, you HAVE been busy! Personally, I'm a fan of the first layout. Such great fabric combos, I can't wait to see how it turns out in the finished product.

I don't know which layout I like best, Wanda, but I sure do love the color combination- One of my favorite combinations of flowers are purple irises and yellow roses and this quilt reminded me of that combination. It is interesting how one can get a three D effect through the layout of the blocks. You have created another beauty!
I enjoyed your funky circle quilt in the previous posts- I don't buy polka dot fabrics in general-( not sure why )but I do love the spots that add to the circle movement. You have circles everywhere..
Warmest regards,
Anna

I actually see the 3-D effect in all three layouts, but I would have a hard time deciding which to use if it were me! Great colors; I really like how the yellows emphasize the ORANGE-yellow side of the color. It's a great look against the dark bluish-purple strips. Very nice. You don't waste much time, do you? LOL!

To me they are all 3D but in different ways. The 1st and 3rd remind me of those impossible drawings done by (I think) Escher.

Very effective and I love the colour combinations.

Please remember that you promised to talk very loudly in your class so I can hear you.
