Sewing a few seams.............

During the course of the day yesterday I got the 4 vertical seams sewn that web the rows together on my X and + quilt top.  Since seams aren't pressed in opposite directions at intersections it took awhile to sew each long seam.

On my walk around the yard I was taking photos of some of the Rose of Sharon blossoms but what I noticed when I got to the computer was the clear blue sky.

I check my tomatoes every day and there are some large ones on the Rutgers plant but none have turned color yet.

My 4th of July plants continue to give me plenty of ripened golf ball size tomatoes and the Early Girl has had a few red ones too.

Happy to see and hear you are doing well. Enjoying the photos of quilts and flowers. Amazing what a walk thru the yard can do for the soul. Enjoy the day.

Wow, you’re back to sewing! It’s such a ptetty quilt. I too enjoy taking a walk around my garden each day, sometimes dead heading and checking on the veggies.

I just took a walk through my backyard, looking at flower pots, taking a picture of the prettiest pink Gerbera daisy. Your picture with the blue sky was pretty. Glad to hear you are back at the sewing machine.

Congrats on getting back to sewing. Of course you picked one of the more difficult ones to start with. :-)
The blue sky popped out to me also.

The first comment should probably be deleted as there is a link that could potentially be dangerous.

Sewing is so therapeutic... even if its only a few seams. We are getting about 2 doz cherry tomatoes every day (2 plants) we have a dozen larger! I think we will have a tomato lunch! Only 2 zucchini so far and the lemon cucumbers will be along... in a week or so! Weather was too hot for most of July... for everything except the tomatoes!!! Hope the healing continues to go so well.

Getting to sew a bit each day must soothe your soul and proves you are mending well. I was away for 10 days and when I got home, I took photos of a couple of day lilies the deer managed to leave uneaten. And we finally got about 2" of rain to refresh our parched lawns and gardens.
