I"m home...................

My beautiful view from the dining room window
I'm home, sore and have 6 weeks recovery, but part of that is sitting in a chair and walking around so I won't get blood clots so I'll be checking in now and then.  The dr. says take lots of naps.  Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes.  I know the worldwide support helped me get through this surgery.

Splendid news, Wanda! My my: six weeks of chair patrol. Think of all the fun activities you can experience: sorting scraps. Kaffe research. Rereading/revisiting old books or finding new ones (need suggestions?). Hand sewing bindings. Whatever you are doing, take care and continue to keep us posted.

So happy you are home. Don't mess around with blood clots, I lost a very dear friend who was in her 40s to a clot. A year later her brother had one and the doctor didn't diagnose until pushed. I am terrified now. Not a good reaction, but it is mine. Enjoy the view but get up and walk on whatever schedule the doctor gave you.

Happy to know you're back home, looking at your beautiful garden while recuperating. Home's always so much better! And keep reminding yourself that people will be happy to help... whether it's carrying a project box to your dining room table so you can sort scraps for a future quilt, or bringing food, or weeding while you look on and direct the action. You have many friends and they will be delighted to come over and pitch in. Enjoy your naps... they feel so luxurious!

Dear Wanda, I am so glad the surgery went well and you are home. Nothing like being in your own surroundings to heal.

So glad you are home and on the mend. Your body will MAKE you take those naps, believe me. I was surprised that I needed way more naps in recovery than I did when I was younger. AND I know if you overdo it, your body WILL retaliate.
xx, Carol

Major surgery and they send you home the next day ! You are one strong lady. So relieved to know your surgery went well and knowing you, you'll follow the doctors orders for 3 weeks. If you can last that long without getting antsy before you want to get back to your routine. But follow those doctors orders, it takes that long for your body to recover.

This was my recouping last year.... I was told to take it easy for 6 weeks after my surgeries. So I took off 12 ! Just to be safe. (*._.*) Then a month later a cataract had to be removed. Again another 6 weeks of no bending over because of complications... you guessed it, I took off another 12. I won't go on but soon the year was over.

Wishes for healthier days with prayers. JJM

So happy that there was no long hospital stay. Now follow Doctors orders, eat well, sit on the porch, watch the squirrels and birds, and read a book. We can wait for the next astounding idea you come up with.
