Still thinking..............
I spent a large part of the day yesterday gathering and packing things to take to the thrift shop in town. What was on my mind though was still these fabrics. I divided them by dark and light last night to check out an idea.
I thought maybe I would like to make another quilt similar to this one that I made in 2013. In this one the angle is different in each block but I have a die for the block which would make them all the same angle. I was thinking about cutting out a few pieces yesterday but just never got around to it. If you want to see more like this, click on the Label Fractured quilt on the label list on the right sidebar. You can also click on the label at the bottom of each post. On a cellphone to see the label links you may need to scroll to the bottom and click on View web version.

I think those very cool fabrics would make a stunning new version of your Fractured idea (using the die to save mental stress with all the angles).
What a fun trip down the rabbit hole that was! I’ve made one quilt from Sujata’s book but several of them are on my “make someday” list. Thanks for the “re-inspiration”!
I often like to go back and re-make a favorite pattern (eg. many, many Ojos and Itsy Bitsy Spider). I think those fabrics will be stunning for this pattern...
67 here and nice and cool, a crisp Fall day finally!!;)))
Looks like a few blank sqs on my COL projects--or maybe just a hand???or an "X" ?? still pretty sore, but can type with brace on...
Hugs, Julierose
I too had to check out all your ‘Fractured’ quilts… so many unique patterns from a single shaped cut. And your fabric selections are gorgeous .
I love those colors they would go really well with that pattern
Thinking and thinking is always a good start for every quilt and lots of other things, too!
WOW! What amazing Fractured quilt! Love your imagination!!
Hugs!
I cut out a Fractured veterans quilt last year. It hasn't come up in rotation yet. But I've been thinking about doing a big version. I really enjoyed the one that I made.
Yes, those fabrics are perfect for this design!
I remember that quilt from back then; it was so inspiring that I made one similar. I still have the template I used; may have to make another.
