Backing chosen.............

I didn't find any fabric I liked for a border so this top won't have one.  I then searched for a backing.  This one is Martha Negley's Tree Rings.  There are 2 MN fabrics in the blocks so this one is perfect.

We got up yesterday morning to a beautiful white landscape.  This is dainty Coral Bell flower stalks with a coating of snow.

At the other end of the same flower bed are the Sedum flower heads with their snow caps.

The trees in the backyard were pretty in the morning and then it got up to 33 degrees and all of their snow covering fell or melted.

I like it when the snow piles up on the branches.  I'm not sure how much snow we got but I think it might have been 2-3".

Last night I sewed 2 more combinations of pink fabrics in the Wonky Heart pattern (Accuquilt GO die).  There are 2 of each so I have 12 blocks made so far.

I love that fabric! I used it once for borders. It looked very much like that here yesterday. Today it is all icy. Love the heart collection.

That is perfect fabric for the back! The temperature go up to 36 yesterday so the snow disappeared from the trees and much of what was left turned to slush. The roads are in great shape so no issues there for me. Right now the forecast is showing next Friday's temp dropping into the teens which means possible frozen pipes.

No snow here -just gray and drizzle and chilly dampness. Snow is MUCH prettier! Perfect backing, indeed, and hooray for no borders.

the snow on the trees look pretty but sometimes it is just too heavy we had 3 branches come down from it but luckily they weren't really large branches. A lot of customers in Northeast Arkansas are without power due to snow on the trees and power lines coming down.
But it sure does look pretty!!
That fabric looks great for the backing

Lovely MN backing fabric on this one...
You got a decent amount of snow--trees are so pretty all coated up:)))
we just got gobs of rain and high wind gusts all night long...it's 45 now but
temps are supposed to fall during today...I really wonder if we will get any snow this year!!
Such pretty heart blocks...nice work hugs, Julierose

Of course you would have the perfect backing in your stash for your sunshine quilt top. It really is a beautiful combination.

Fun hearts to see and how you flipped the fabrics on the second row.

I love that backing fabric for your newest quilt. That one came together fast! I'm getting a little jealous of everyone's snowy landscapes. I hope we get a little here this winterbut not too much!

I love the backing you chose for the green quilt. It does look like winter has arrived. Sounds like more is on the way.

I'm pleased to read you're passing on a border with this quilt and the MN fabric for the backing is a good one, I have a small amount, it must be from a few years ago I think. I would love to see our backyard covered in snow, this is one of the things we do miss about being in England, of course too much can not be so good!
