Icy mess.............

Ice can be pretty if you don't have to go out and slip on it.  There was a light snow already on the sidewalk and driveway so that got the icy crust on top of it.

I have a few branches down on my Redbud trees and it got quite windy last night so there might be more down today.  Everything is coated with the ice.

It looks like fringe on the squirrel baffle that hangs above this feeder.  This red headed visitor came just as I snapped the photo.

I have this quilt 3/4 basted now and I only have one half of a short edge of binding left to hand stitch down on the red crazy pieced quilt.  It is definitely sewing weather.

The ice on your redbuds reminds me of living in the country. We'd get build up like that then when the sun came out it would sound like opening day of deer season as the limbs cracked off.

Stay in and stay warm! Hoping you have a well stocked pantry and no urgent need to get out until the weather improves.

The ice does make for some pretty pictures. I wouldn't want to be out in it though. So nice of the bird to photobomb your photo.

I was lucky that once the temperatures dropped the rain stopped for a while so ice didn't form. The wind was brutal last night and it is still gusting today. We have had snow on and off, but nothing that a bit of salt on the roads couldn't take care of.

We have icy with a sprinkle of blowing snow on top- kind of polishes the ice more. The red quilt looks great for Valentines Day!

The gorgeous quilt certainly is a good one to show after the cold photos! All those icicles! Such pretty photos and a good snap of the woodpecker. Very timely!

Can I baste across a quilt or does it have to be length wise, going to try it first on a table runner. Thanks,, vivian
