12 blocks sewn together.............

The Marcia Derse star quilt top is finally sewn together.  I didn't measure it but it should be about 45" x 60".  The original quilt from 1990 had 3 borders so I will consider that for this one too.

My two little great-grandsons are back in IL visiting so I will see them this morning.

Probably the only sewing I will get to is more of the neutral 16 patch blocks.  I cut 12 of the stratas into segments to make 24 more blocks.

Enjoy the grandbabies. Love the quilt--as always---your color sense just bowls me over sometimes :-)

I enlarged the picture so I could see the fabrics better, this top is stunning. So vibrant. Enjoy the babies, they grow so fast.

I need to save this one in my placement of colors file -- truly amazing how many variations and the subtle or not differences. Hug the littles!!

Happiness is those great grand babies. They do and say the cutest things. I know it's been a while since you've seen them.... enjoy every minute.

I'm sure it feels good to finish the main body of this awesome star quilt. It sure is a beauty, and I can hardly wait to see the borders you'll add to this one.

It is absolutely beautiful, you do such pretty work. Now fold it up carefully and put it in a save place (but not like me, where you forget where you put it), LOL, and have fun with your great grandsons :)
