I didn't spend a lot of time on the layout yesterday. The only thing I decided was that I need another blue accent in a block.
Since I didn't have any more Bear Paw blocks ready to sew I pressed the sewn stratas for the 16 patches and sliced the segments and sewed 20 blocks, these 10 and their duplicates.
I noticed my Viburnum bush was changing color so I grabbed my camera. My little 4 year old neighbor girl was following me around and chatting with me.
The contrast is so pretty between the rose color leaves and the green ones.

what fun to have a little "commenter" as a companion!! I like your idea to add another blue-themed block to the rest...hugs, Julierose
Sounds like you made great use of the day. Blocks looking terrific as well as the plants.
The bear claw blocks are looking good! It rained here a bit on Friday and early Saturday morning.
Beautiful fall colors inside and outside.
How wonderful for that little girl to have you to follow around and chat with!
Oh boy, am I way behind in catching up on posts!! I love your Autumn Bear Paw blocks, a nice size too for showing off the fabrics. It's years since I made a small Bear Paw, must make another one some day.
Love those leaves. Didn't take a picture but we have purple in two shades all over our gray driveway and it is pretty... another quilt idea! Trouble is, as wonderful as our fabrics are these days, they still don't measure up to the Creator's color schemes!
The blocks are looking great together......
I haven't commented on these but I'm so loving the brown palette.
