20 blocks...........

I made blocks 18, 19 and 20 yesterday and worked on the layout last night.  I keep forgetting to bring an extra light upstairs to brighten the bottom of the design wall.

I sewed block #18 while the 2 plumber guys were in my basement installing my new water heater.

I decided to put blue long rectangles in this block with the olive green.  It is one of my favorite blocks. #19 (bottom row, right corner)

I got #20 sewn last night and then I worked on the layout for about an hour.  Half of the blocks have light rectangles and half have dark rectangles. (second from left on bottom row, close up shows true brightness)

Now I have to find a fabric for the narrow sashing and cornerstones.

I love the blue crosses on #18 & #19. The lines on #18 make it look like it's spinning. Did your son come with his saw? We have rain today and my Fuchsia's love it :)

What a great quilt this will be! I really like the colors together, and brown isn't a favorite of mine. In fact, I have avoided bear paws for some reason over the years. You've got me inspired!

Oh the power of beautiful fabrics! You've made a gorgeous mosaic out of basic Bear Paw blocks and a star of the color Brown!

The blocks are great! I am anxious to see what you find for the sashing. Sounds like the hot water heater installation went smoothly. That is a big job done!

I like the blue mixed in with those blocks. It is always hard to get enough lighting isn't it - I would need to aim a couple more lights at the wall when I take photos of the design wall too but the room isn't big enough - I just don't have a big enough wall - but then I remind myself I have a wall and so many do not so I'm happy enough with it.

As you mention several posts ago…. Each block is a master piece and so agree ! All together they are a sensational explosion of beauty. Another favorite quilt that is truly breathtaking.
