I'm publishing a second post today to get these finishes in at the end of the year.Finish #19 for 2020
Yardbirds Circling the Cat wallhanging finished before midnight Dec. 31, 2020. It is approximately 32" square. Hand finished binding.
The back is a mottled batik.
Finish #20 for 2020You might remember this mini colorwash I made while I was teaching my Colorwash360 class. The little squares finish at 1"
On the back I added the folded squares at the corners so a rod can be put in on any side for hanging. I don't normally count my small pieces in my yearly count but since this one is art and not a serviceable item like placemat or table mat I am going to count it this year. It took many hours to find all of the fabrics to make it and arrange and rearrange many times unlike a table mat that I could make in an hour. I'm only justifying this for myself since I'm pretty structured in my expectations of what I make.

Both amazing quilts
Two beautiful finishes to complete your 20 in 2020 goal! Congratulations!
Congratulations! A super way to end 2020!
You got there - well done. I love the pattern of the yardbirds/cats and the cute scrappy squares in the border. Also a great idea to put 4 hanging squares on the back of the colourwash, giving you 4 changeable options to hang it. Now onto 2021 :)
I think these count too! Quite a goal to achieve, andalways such fun to see what you come up with. Happy new year.
Both are marvelous pieces, and you don't need to justify one single thing — to us, anyway! Dealing with one's own exacting standards is a whole other story, but IMO these two make any cut one might encounter. And I so love the Yardbirds... color and flow are so dyname=ic. Happy New Year to you, Wanda!
I count all finishes, since I made them and they are finished. I have low standards LOL. I just noticed the beautiful border on the Yardbirds Circling the Cat. It looks paper pieced.
Congratulations on finishing these beautiful quilts before year end. Yardbirds is striking and you know I love the border you designed. It's fun to see more ways to make a Lone Star.
Thanks for squeaking in these two. Both beautiful colors and combinations.
Yardbirds Circling the Cat is stunning, I love the colours, the rich green background is beautiful - is it batik?
