Working on several.............
While my friends were here I worked on 3 projects. The red OBW has only 4 more columns to sew. While I had the rest of it off the wall to be sewn together I took advantage of the empty side of the of the design wall to put more of my pickle insert blocks up. The colors are darker and more intense but the fluorescent lights made them washed out and the "pickle" acid green looks like yellow here. Mainly I wanted to see if I have to make some specific blocks or if I can place them randomly and not need to. I worked on my red Kaffe collective Cascade quilt too. All in all it was a fun day with a little accomplished on all three.
I had to pick the next 2 Jonquils that were blooming because if I don't the squirrels play "off with their heads" with them.

I like the juxtaposition of the "plain" and "fancy" red fabrics. And, yes, the pickle looks quite yellow -- but then so are real pickles.

All those rich reds are very inspiring. Each quilt is going to be intense and energizing in it's own unique way. I often find myself working with similar colors at the same time as well. It's never planned but just works out that way. Have a good weekend.
I like to work on multiple projects also. Yours are coming out terrific. Pretty yucky and cold here today with a dash of wet snow. Glad I got out and raked earlier this week. I am glad you could sew with others who are motivated.
You accomplished a lot with your friends yesterday. I'm sure they treasure their times with you, and you of them.
And your jonquils are so pretty ... Now don't laugh, but I went to JoAnnes and bought some 'silk' jonquils and planted them in my outside window box at my kitchen window. They will work till I get my million bells planted in there.

Wow - looks like a very nice border to the pickles, even if they are intended to be separate quilts!
