Out of the kitchen and back to quilts............

This is the second attempt at a Kaffe Trip Around the World for my bed.  I wasn't happy with the first one so I sold that quilt top and started over.  I'm much happier with this one.

The Christmas packages have all been mailed to out of state family members and I won't need to bake again until Sunday and Monday so I can spend some time cleaning and organizing my studios and working on this quilt.

Here are the remaining slices from the first strata that are waiting to have one seam unpicked to continue the designing.  I will get the next strata sliced today.

Your level of energy amazes me Wanda! To see what you accomplish everyday is very inspiring.
I did ok finishing some pieces in 2018 but it could have been better. I plan to really push myself in 2019 to turn more of my tops into finished quilts.
Have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Relating to your previous Christmas postcard post, I got one in the mail (different maker) last week. I was amazed how well this seemingly fragile thing made it through the mail! Didn't realize this was a thing, but now I'm fascinated. I get so much from your blog!

This is going to be such a beautiful quilt! You have a great strong contrast between light and dark.

I really like that first section of the Kaffe "trip" quilt. The range of color and value is excellent.

Wanda, this is going to be a gorgeous quilt for your bed, and now that you've seen how it's going to look, I bet you can't wait to get it finished.

Seasons Greetings Wanda! Love your second attempt at the KF trip quilt. The colors & fabric choices look lovely. I can't wait to see it done.

I like that colorwash in bigger squares. I think I could manage something like that.

This really is a 'dreamy' TAW.... I thought the first one you did for your bed, was as gorgeous also. I'll have to back to that post to make sure. (^._,^)
