Some oldiies............

I started this quilt back in Feb. 2011.  I got up with a migraine yesterday so I decided to do some easy sewing.  I cut the 2 borders for this one and got them sewn on.
This shows the variety of fabric a little better.  It is a little warmer beige/gold than in the photo.
My headache was gone by early afternoon so I decided to tackle another project.  This will empty another box on the shelf.  It is a flannel quilt so now I have 3 flannel quilts in the works.  Maybe I can finish all of them while it is still winter.
I had 11 of the large blocks pieced for it and needed 9 more.  I started this quilt in 2003.  I did a mini tutorial here in 2008 and thought I would finish the blocks then, but I guess I lost interest.  Now I have all of the quarter blocks pieced and groups of 4 chosen to sew together.  I will have to spend today working on cutting preemie gowns and blankets for church sewing circle tomorrow.  I will probably work on the flannel quilt on Monday night.

I have been away from home for 2 weeks almost and am dying to get back to my sewing room. Love the watercolor quilt and the flannel pieces that are probably already a quilt as I write this on the west coast:)

I was cleaning out my art room yesterday, and began thinking about the quilts I have in progress. (Not that many, actually) How many do you have going at any one time?

I am curious how you keep track of your quilts. You always know when something was started/finished. Do you have some tips you can share with us? I have some record pages in binders, but they are for the finished quilts. How do you keep track of dates for those in progress? Or do you have an amazing memory!?

What a lovely Bargello, I just love the colors you have in yours. Hope your migrane is gone!

Oh my ~ that border compliments the main body perfectly. It is another stunning piece of art. Plus I love the deep rich colors in the fabrics.

Did you hop put of bed at the new time or old time today ? I always grumble at turning our clocks ahead.

The borders look wonderful on the first quilt and I like the looks of your abandoned flannel, too. I hate when that happens, but it does. Sometimes you just HAVE to move on to something new.

Wanda your watercolor/bargello is really quite beautiful. The colors are incredibly soothing. I feel so bad each time I read that you have/had a migrane! I don't know how you can accomplish anything with one of those!!

As always, Wanda, you and your work inspire me.
