I finally got one of the flannel quilts quilted, the Buzz Saw. I had a large enough piece of a low loft polyester batt to use in this one. It makes the flannel quilt more lightweight than with a cotton batt. I rarely use polyester but I'm trying to use up all of the batting I have if the size is right for a quilt.

You're right though, besides using up your stash, the polyester batt will have a lighter drape in the flannel. I always use cotton but I noticed on my lap quilt that it doesn't drape nicely around me like an afghan would. I think a polyester batt might have been better.
I love all the blocks in your quilt!
The buzz saw looks great. Glad you are getting some of them done. Chris
both of those projects are looking great. I really like the design of the X-plus blocks
I like both of them. Yes sometimes we have to start thinking about using up the stash both of fabric and batting don't we. Love the buzz saw that is one pattern I have thought about making different times.
I love reading about your thought processes ... thanks for sharing! And both of these projects are deliciously vibrant!
I was wondering how those less bright blocks would look, but they fit in beautifully.
The saw quilt looks terrific.
X+ blocks are multiplying :)
I'm on a roll of using up what I already own and we'll see how long that lasts.
Another favorite. Those X+ blocks are wonderful.
Very lively and colorful. I love them all.
Love the X blocks.
It is nice that you have the right size when you need it. Pretty quilting!

I am really enjoying watching you make the x+ blocks.
Seems there is a trend in blog lane to use what we have in our stash and scrap boxes :D
