Since I didn't use any of the measurements of the quilt in the book, I'm on my own to figure out the size and number of 9 patches. In the book they used the same size square as is in the 4 patches for the 9 patches. I haven't trimmed the edges yet but I measured from the spot I will trim and it looks like I need 11 full and a 2/3 block for each side. The top and bottom doesn't come out an even measurement so I will have to either made some seams a little deeper or trim off a partial block to make it fit with approximately 8 1/2 blocks across.

Rows sewn, math begins.....

I really like this one....the color play in it is great. Makes me think the color is dancing!??? I'm so bad with the math thing, but I know you will conquer it.

Kaffe fabrics and quilts are so interesting to study! My brain automatically looks for the patterns in your quilt...the diagonal lines of matching fabrics, the small squares marching horizontally, the design of each individual fabric....Oh, this is an amazing quilt!
BTW...I just ordered my very first Kaffe fabrics...a stack of 30 6" squares...influenced by visiting your blog every day!
TA-DAH ! Ready for the border. Been a fun week watching this one come to this point. I know how much fun it will be to come up with the final blocks to finish this wonderful piece.
That is always my favorite part to do the embellishing on any project.
