I changed out the light lavender 4 patch squares that were in the far left row and cut some more plain squares for a better match to fill into the rows that have 9 squares in them. Now I have to decide on setting triangles. I mentioned before that this was inspired by the Diagonal Madness quilt in one of the Kaffe books.
His is deeper toned and then has the added border of 9 patches. As much as I like the border, I'm not sure I'll put it on mine. I just wanted a fast, instant gratification quilt made of spare parts that were already sewn. I'll think about it and see what my company today says about it. My former co-workers from the quilt shop in Batavia are coming over. I left the job up there 11 years ago and we try to get together at least once a year.

Sounds like you will have fun with you visitors. The blocks really look well together. Chris
love the look and the instant grad thing I totally get-- but that 9-patch border is the bomb.
Yours is definitely brighter. I get the urge to get it done. The 9 patch border really is spectacular though.
That's when you have the 2 to compare. Once you chose a border for yours, I'm sure it will look wonderful an d then it will be done.
I love the colors in this quilt. Very good use of your left over pieces.
I see so many patterns in this quilt. I really like the squares you put in with the four patches. This is great.
you have made good use of your scraps once again! I really, really need to sit down this winter and get busy cutting scraps, I took a whole bag with us on our trip and didn't cut one piece - I just didn't feel like it. I need to.

Such a lovely look from a simple block. It is amazing what the color and fabrics can do when someone knows how to put them together!!!! I like the block border. It will be fun to see what your friends think.
Another wanderful quilt. Looking forward to se what you do with the border. I do like the 9 patch.
Have lots of fun with your friends.
I like your colour choices, especially the teals and turquoises, they really catch the eye!
Love it! Wig.
I am so glad you decided to work on this project ... now I know what to do with all the extra four patches after Sedici!
Absolutely gorgeous! Makes me want to play with some Kaffe fabrics now too!
Oh, man, this is beautiful!
best, nadia
