A giveaway.....

Yesterday was another social day with former co-workers from a quilt shop.  When I got home I got my garage ready for one more day of garage sale.  My neighbor to the north is having a sale and I found more things when I was cleaning the attic that I needed to get rid of so I'm doing it again.  It is supposed to be hot and humid too so I'll be crabby at the end of the day.

That isn't what you want to hear about though if you read my post title, lol!  I found these 4 blocks when I was looking through a box and I don't want them.  They are 9.5" square.  If you would like to win them, comment today and at 11 p.m. CST today I will draw a number and announce the winner tomorrow.

Wow, I can't believe that you don't want them. Normally I don't enter giveaways, but I admire your work so much, I would love to have these blocks! I can definitely envision them in a lovely quilt. Thank you for the chance to own them!!

Hi Wanda,
Sorry you have to work in the heat! I have a co-worker who loves the heat so much she went on vacation to even hotter and stickier North Carolina! Not my idea of a good time...
I would love a chance for these blocks! Thanks for the offer

The hot humid weather we are having would make anyone crabby. On the other hand, winning these beauties would reduce the crabby immediately.
They are beautiful and you are wonderful to pass them on (to me...)

I have many blocks like this myself, but it would tickle me to have a little piece of you in one of my quilts. I've enjoyed reading your blog for what seems like years. Oh wait, it has been years ;-)

I find that a chilled glass of white wine at the end of the day goes well with crab . Good luck with your sale.

I check your blog out on a regular basis and love it and learn from it. I could spend the day "looking" instead of quilting........love the blocks, the colors and creativity AND randomness.........I'm all about that!

I am sending good thoughts your way as you suffer thru an very hot garage sale. I hope you have a box fan so at least you can keep the air moving. The blocks are beautiful!

Those blocks would be a good start on a "community" quilt (which is about the only thing I've been working on this week.)
I HATE hot weather, especially when it's sticky....
Hang in there!

I would love to win your four blocks! I would make them into a quilted tote bag! Thanks for the chance to win!
May you enjoy cooler days!

How could you not want those blocks? I do , I do... most of the time, I love hot weather but that's probably because it's a rarity and not humid with the coastal fog keeping it at bay. Good for you having another garage sale, wish I lived close and could rummage through your rejects!

Belinda said...

Girl, you are glutten for punishment doing more garage selling! HA! Yes, you are going to be quite crabby at the end of the HOT day!! But just think that extra money can buy more Studio cutter dies...yippee!

Wow, great wonky blocks, what a great table runner they would make....thanks so much for sharing!!

Sue said...

My goodness, your giveaway has prompted lots of comments!Count me in as I'd love to win these colorful creations of yours.
I've become a hermit in this heat so I consider you brave indeed to participate in a garage sale!

I know how you feel about the heat Wanda. The older I get the more I dislike summer. We're expecting hot weather again also.
In spite of the heat, I hope you make lots of money at the garage sale!

I too am getting ready to participate in a flea market this week. Don't feel much like it but it is good to dispoes of things and see them recycled. Would love those blocks!

Love those blocks. Would love to have them come live at my house.

Wow 53 commenter's ahead of me. That's what I get for not getting to my computer early in the morning. It is always fun to see how many comments you get when it is FREE pieces you give away or asking for a vote on layout etc. (*._,*)

Those blocks are a great find that is for sure.

With your 'sweltering' temps... If you get any traffic at all at your garage sale I am sure your items will sell.

My daughter is having a garage sale at my house as she lives in a condo and can't have sales there. I hope it is cooler when she has it. Since it is going to be so warm again maybe the buyers will be out early and buy everything that they see.

I concur with hot and humid = crabby. It was so bad tonight when I left work that not only my glasses steamed over when I walked out the door but my CELL PHONE steamed over!

You know the blocks would have a good home if my number gets drawn!
