4 Year Blogiversary............

I had to go back and check my archives; has it really been 4 years?  Yes it has, and I've loved every minute of it!  I hope you have too.

The 2 blocks above are the leftovers.  I finally made my decision.

I will have 2 quilts.  At this time I'll call them my winter quilt on the left and summer quilt on the right.  Both fabrics were favorites for the corner blocks and I couldn't just use one.  They give 2 totally different looks.  The one on the left will finish at 48" x 63" and the one on the right 33" x 48".  I'm thinking about a strip pieced border on the smaller one, with the stripes parallel to the edges to echo the rings in the blocks.

As for the leftover blocks, the one on the right will be a pocket on a tote bag.  I don't know what I'll do with the other one.  Maybe it will go into a quilt with all of the other leftover blocks that I have.  Thanks for playing along with me. Once again I think you can see there are many ways a quilt can be designed, so don't settle for one you don't like when it just takes a little time and patience to find a finish that you like.

Happy 4th of July to my American readers!!!

Great choices, Wanda...I really LOVE the one on the right!

Happy 4th, Wanda! Both of them! This is a great design and you have provided lots of fun for us watching it evolve. Just one thing, and I hope you don't mind my butting in. In the 3 x 4 quilt, I think the 2nd one down in the left column should be switched for a new block. And, not one of the extras. To my eyes, it doesn't really fit.

They are both striking Wanda. Amazing how a sashing can change things.

Happy Blogiversary! Count me in with the rest who make it a daily habit to read your blog every morning. I truly enjoy your gardening and wildlife photos and comments, and your quilts! Oh my yes! Love the quilts. You inspire me to get more adventurous with color and I love following along with your design process.
I don't settle for a finish I don't like--that's why I've got so many UFO's! I'm still waiting for the right finish! Quilting has taught me to be patient.

Both of these look wonderful. I did a double take between one of your Kaffe fabric photos and your flower photos - they look so similar in colors. Think you made a great decision on what to do.

Happy blogiversary! Both quilts will be stunning. (It's hard to resist that "persimmon" print, in any colorway.)

Four years! Fantastic and congratulations! Your quilts are perfect as usual. I like the extra block as a pocket on a tote!!!

Congrats on the 4 years of blogging. I am one of your newbie followers and I love your blogs. I like both of your quilts and hope you find use for the one left-over. I have a couple extra squares laying around and keep saying that I am going to make a potholder or use it on a journal but they just keep staring at me. Some day the right idea will come along. I enjoyed the 4th being alone and at night can watch fireworks out of my kitchen window.
