I had already mixed the peanut butter cookie dough by the time we cancelled the art quilters's day. The forecast called for snow first and then freezing rain so we rescheduled for next week. These cookies freeze well so I'll only have to bake one batch next week.
So did I finish straightening up the basement? Heck no! I grabbed my box of triangle squares and played with some ideas. I'll finish the basement today.

Love these stars! Stop giving me so many good ideas - sew much fabric sew little time!
About how many hours a day do you do prep work and sew? The energy you have is beyond me. Chris
love the stars and the cookies - most cookies seem to store nicely in the freezer.

Good for you!! I think I might have played too. Although, I must admit, I did a little straightening myself.
It's definitely more fun to play than to clean. I'm also going to rebook a 1 hour trip to a doctor this week due to the weather forecast. Aah winter!
Those cookies male me want to make some myself but lucky for my diet I 'm going to drive the 40 minutes to the nearest fabric shop today.
Now you have another week to clean.
How many hours a day do you sew?
Wish I ahd your energy.

Bummer about the weather, but the cookies look yummy and I love the star blocks you put together!
Ah, Wanda, you are my kind of woman. When in doubt - play! It's so much more fun than cleaning. LOL (And lots prettier, too)
Cookies (I hope you keep a few out) and playing with fabric, doesn't get any better.
Have a good week.
I love what you laid out with your batiks, I'm a star and house person. No snow here but it's cold out there; I need to go out but I'm putting it off. Good luck with your cleaning, and save me a cookie!
Linda
Looks good, both your blocks and cookies. How's your dad?
mmmm cookies, you are making me hungry!
I really want to make a Bento Box quilt, where do you get your patterns?
Have a great day!
Good for you, Wanda! Baking and playing with fabric outweighs cleaning any day! We just have snow flurries today, but tomorrow we will get your weather.
Ahhhhh.....cookies. *S* And more next week.
Why don't you wait to finish the cleaning til next week too so you don't need to do it twice?
I agree with the visual. When I put things away I too, forget about them. I think company is the only thing that motivates me to really clean up! Love your journal cover, the colors are so inviting!
I did pick up some, kind of a resolution, I guess... but I'm not going "whole hog" on that. I started a paper pieced quilt from a QuiltMaker Mag. It's all pine trees and stars. Lots of color!

Those cookies look so good. Do you make a standard size of HSTs that you have in your box? Do you make them for a specific project, or do you just make random pieces and put something together when you feel you have enough?
Those stars are wonderful -- made me smile! The cookies look delicious!
Hope you didn't get the horrible cold weather we got!
Too bad your group got cancelled. The cookies would never be safe around here in the freezer though...you have more will power than me!
