I finished this top yesterday. Now I have my 3 sample quilt tops for the scrap class.
I packed my bag yesterday afternoon for today's QOV sew-in. I need to make a master list of things to take with me so I don't have to think it out each time.
Oh, my, what a crooked picture. When I got ready to post I had already turned off my desktop computer which has a photo editing program where I could have corrected that. Here are all three samples made with the same block. I used different width strips in all of them. Starting from the left they are 3", 2.5", and 3.5". I want to show these to the QOV group to see if they want to try this pattern some time.

I love the way you mix quilts and flowers on your blog, all so colorful and bright! Love this pattern, you make everything look so easy!
Interesting and versatile block. I think simple with a twist is the right terms for it. I really like it. Chris
GREAT samples!
Works for me--I really like those! I'll bring the jelly roll books anyways. Thanks for what you do for QOV, Wanda. See ya shortly.
Fantastic quilts, patterns, colors, everything!
What a versatile pattern - crooked pics are ok - we all take them ... glad you shared yours!
They are just lovely, crooked or not. "Exuberant."
You can make magic with scraps. That inspires me to do the same. Thanks for sharing.
Dear Wanda!
I have sewn these blocks before, but your photos of them makes me wanna sew some more!
I´m sorry, I don´t think my english is correct, but I decided not to care. Because I wanted to tell you what a great inspirer you are!
I have a little piece of dutch wax batik fabrics that I´ll think you can put in together with your stash and I´ll be glad to send it to you if you just use my e-mail in my blogg. Best wishes Maja
Wanda, I am liking your scrap quilts. I especially like the zig zags. I so wish I was closer and could take a class.
Something is goofy with Blogger this morning. I recieved a few comments earlier that haven't shown up here yet. I'm just testing this with a comment of my own.
What a great mini quilt show! I love all three samples. I just may have to make another zigzag quilt using your 1st sample idea. Vertical - I guess it could be train tracks for my young engineer. Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
Qhat a beuatiful inspiration you are!
Stunning work.

You are so organised Wanda.
enjoy your sewing day with your friends.
I love the Kaffe version of this. It is so cheerful and bright, makes me think of a summer garden in a way.
Great quilt tops. Have a great time!
Crooked or not, your work is so inspirational. Hope you have a great 4th weekend.
Good to catch up and take in all the colours!
It is wonderful to see these patterns in such pretty colorful fabric. I use the same designs for my church ladies comfort quilts and we have lots of quilters cast offs from the 80's. I am sure the QOV ladies will be happy to use these patterns.
What a grand threesome !
