Peaceful Sunday

This may not look any different than yesterday but I added one more row on the right edge.  Now it starts with an "up" movement and finishes with an "up" movement.  Check out yesterday's post to compare.  I added about 15 more fabrics today.

I showed a pile of triangle squares a couple days ago.  Last night I sewed 2 more blocks to go with the ones I made a few weeks ago.  I think they will have sashing and a border.  They are 8" blocks.

My brother and I visited Dad last night.  We didn't go over for 2 days so he could get into his routine there without outside interference.  He is adjusting well and even said the food was good today.  I will be getting his tax return done this afternoon and end last year's bookwork.

Love the blocks! I definitely see sashing and borders on these beauties. Glad to hear your Dad is doing well and that the food is good! I bet that was a plus for him.

Looks like you got somethings accomplished. The blocks are beautiful. Looks like an English Cutting Garden to me. Glad things are working out for your Father. Chris

My lesson for the day.
It's not only color that makes the design, it's the VALUE !
Thanks,

I Hope your Dad is doing OK. What an ordeal for him and for the family. I love your charm quilt. How big are the triangles for the zig zag arrangement? And are you piecing them the "quick way" or cutting out triangles to sew them together one by one?

It's amazing what the extra row does to the quilt! It really makes it change from sad to happy!

I've enjoyed your blog for many months - and enjoy seeing the variety of projects both you and your students produce. Would you have any tips on joining halfsquare triangles that you would be willing to share? I'm participating in a BOM and the first block is challenging me!
