One of the stacks included this downloaded pattern for Kaffe fabrics. They are expecting you to buy the fat quarter pack and label the fabrics in the order they are when you receive it. I would be cutting from stash so mine might look a little different, especially if I used scraps as well as yardage. This is a free pattern download and they also show it in cool colors. I think I should keep this one out and make it soon.
We got 3.75" of rain Thursday evening and another half inch in two small storms yesterday. I can't even remember the last time we got over 4" in 24 hours. It was raining again last night at 10:30 so I'll check the rain gauges this morning. I'm hoping we are now out of the unusually dry and drought categories. We have been suffering with low rainfall for 3 years.
Last but not least, today is my Blogiversary. I started this blog on July 4, 2007 at the urging of a friend. It is my online journal to record all of my quiltmaking and gardening ventures. I never knew how handy it would be to be able to go back as far as 19 years and see what I was doing. I am grateful for all of you who are still visiting and for those who leave comments. I feel like you are all friends; some of you I have actually met in person. I hope you will continue to visit.

Happy 250th and blogiversity! It is amazing what we accumulate/collect. That quilt pattern has so many possibilities.
Happy blogiversary! We start the day together every day and your constant textile work keeps me inspired. Thanks!
I love that Zippers quilt design! It's definitely going on my to-make list. Happy blogiversary! I look forward to reading your blog every day.
Happy blogiversary! Your blog is one of a handful I immediately scan for when I open Feedly, usually first thing in the morning. I’m so happy you received rain and lots of it. Hopefully most of it soaked into the ground rather than running off. Hopefully the rain has been followed by cooler temperatures. Have a lovely Fourth of July 🇺🇸 even if you are still organizing ;-)
Congratulations on your anniversary! And yes, I keep telling myself that the mess that took a few years (or more....) to build up won't be gone in a week. Sometimes I believe myself and sometimes I don't.
Hoping for cooler weather soon!

Happy blogaversary -- 19 years! And a Glorious Fourth to you, too. The zipper design is very intriguing and I know it will work up splendidly with your Kaffe stash. The storm barreled through, intensely, yesterday afternoon and then more rain overnight. It will be just 80 today but heat + rain will bring out the mosquitoes!
Wow! I'm amazed at how much rain other states get. Here at my home in Utah we have only gotten 5.8 inches of water this year. You getting almost 4 inches in one storm is incredible!
Congratulations on your Blog anniversary! Keep going! I so enjoy visiting with you in the morning. If only I was disciplined enough to follow suit..... Maybe someday. I like your next Kaffe project. Maybe I'll sew along. Happy 4th of July. Enjoy the day!
Happy 250th and Blog anniversary. I have been following you for a long time. I love to read about your quilts and garden. I plan to make a16 patch coneflower quilt sometime.
Celebrating your 19 years of blogging ~ plus 250 years of the 4th of July. Happiness is just that. Love the Zipper quilt pattern.
Happy blog-a-versary (and 250th to us all)! A trip thru your studio and/or gardens is always a bright spot for my morning. I like that KF zipper project! I live vicariously through your projects and so enjoy the mojo boost to start my day. :)
Happy Anniversary, Wanda! And happy 4th! God bless America!
I so enjoy your blog. I have learned so much from you and been so inspired over the years. I do have a favorite quilt….it’s your Charley in the Trees. Very thankful you have continued to blog all these years. I look forward to what you will do next…..I learn so much when you share your thought processes as you make decisions. Thank you!!
I don't know how many years I have been following your blog, but at least since 2013. I rarely leave a comment, but I have so enjoyed your blog over the yearrs. Your quilts are so beautiful, and I enjoy your stories, your gardening, your cookie baking!
What amazes me each year when I realize it is that I started mine on July 7, 2007 - three days after your beginning post. Who knew back then that we'd still be posting 19 years later (and reading each other's posts). I downloaded that pattern to make from stash but it has never happened. Good luck with your version!!
isn't it something that you are still blogging today - I must say I am surprised that I am too. It is nice to go back and see what we were working on years ago. Happy Fourth
What a wonderful treasure of you colorful and abundant creative quilt over these many years! You've come a long way, baby!!
Am glad to have found your blog.
Hugs!
Happy Independence Day and happy blogiversary! 19 years is a long time. I've been reading your blog for quite awhile. I don't remember when I first started reading it, but I think I found it through Vicki Welsh's blog when it was called Field Trips in Fiber. And for some reason, I didn't comment right away. But I have immensely enjoyed reading your blog and seeing all the wonderful projects you create. And you do create fabulous quilts!!
P.S. When I fist saw the thumbnail photo of the Kaffe pattern, I saw filmstrips! Maybe that was his inspiration.
Happy Independence Day and Happy Blogiversary. I haven't followed from the beginning, but I often go back and follow the path of particular quilt designs. I have far too many scraps and need to disburse them to some of the scrap quilters who enjoy playing with them. Times a-wasting on using up my overabundant stash.
We had brief rains on Thurs and Fri nights (and one rumble of thunder), but when I just checked the rain gauge it was only .1" total. It's been threatening all day, but the radar looks like most of it is going north of us. At least it's a bit cooler, but more humid.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Pat
