I wanted to have a collage of the finished quilts for the first half of the year, so yesterday seemed like a good time to do it. They aren't to scale, just tossed into the collage. It's fun for me to see them all together to recap the first 6 months.
I took a few photos in the garden just before the rain started...again. We have gotten 8.25" of rain in the last 3 days, 2.75" yesterday afternoon. My north neighbor has a lot of standing water in their backyard.
This is the Zinfin Doll Hydragea before the blooms start turning pink.
There was one Black-eyed Susan plant 2 years ago. I counted at least 7 this year. Since I haven't been able to do much gardening, I haven't removed any of them, but I will need to move them after blooming season. Those are Coral Bell plants behind this one.
There are lots of blooms on the yellow Gloriosa Daisy now.
I coudn't resist a photo of the front porch on my way past it.
Over by the corner of the house the yellow Coneflower is doing great again this year. I really should get those weeds pulled while the ground is wet.

Your front porch looks amazing! It’s nice to review your collage and remember which of your finishes are my favorites. Can’t believe all the rain you’ve had and I’m sure the plants are loving it.
My friend in Plano said she got water in the basement from that storm. Up here we had a lot less rain, but enough that I didn't go to the concert or fireworks (I don't know if they still had them). Of course their were enough firecrackers in the neighborhood to provide a lot of noise. Your front porch plantings are exuberant! And so is your six-month collage.
I see a tremendous amount of creativity put into your quilts and gardening. What a fun post today Wanda. It’s absolutely stunning to hear you got 8.25 inches of rain in 3 days ! We’re lucky to get that much in a year.
Wow, 8+ inches in 2 days...that's a bit much, I'm glad you aren't posting about dealing with water in the basement! You have some lovely completed quilts for the year so far. That geranium on the porch is certainly an eye-popper of a color - Awesome!
I'm really loving the flowers on your front porch this year. Also, I wonder ... if you could stack all the quilts you have made, how tall would that pile be? Or if you laid them all out, would they cover a football field? I'm thinking there are probably that many quilts that you have made. I rarely miss a day reading your posts. It's my morning cup of joy.

Your front porch is a "collage" of lovely flowers, Wanda :)))
We finally had .81" of rain during tremendous thunder and lightning storms overnight.
You've really accomplished a lot in the 1st half of 2026; lovely finishes...
77 here--the rains did cool us down a bit, but that darn humidity is still making the air sultry out there...
Hugs, Julierose
What a lovely post! Your porch plants have really grown and the table/bench is such a good idea! You get a lot of bang for the buck.
Best wishes to you!
What a beautiful variety of colorful quilts you've made from your marvelously creative imagine so far this year! Your garden is also beautiful!
Hugs!
that is a lot of rain! you will not need to water anything for a little while-such pretty quilts - I know some of the quilts are small are were part way done before you got back to them this year - but you really finished up a lot of them.!
I second everyone about the exurberance of your front porch plantings. All your flowers look great. And your 6 months quilt production is amazing. I hope you've seen the last of the rain for a while.
