I sewed 2 more Crossed Canoe blocks after lunch (die cut pieces, 9" block).
The second Amaryllis bud stalk is almost as tall as the first one which is 25" tall now. After I took this photo I set this grape vine basket into another larger basket. The bottom of the grape vines wasn't very flat and I was afraid it would tip over. The new basket it is a fairly close fit and is about an inch taller and has a very flat bottom.
The top bud is starting to get fat so it shouldn't be long before it opens.
Last night's full moon is called a Wolf Moon. I rarely see the moon just coming up over the trees but it was so bright and yellow last night just as I was closing the blinds so I grabbed my camera.

I love clicking on your quilt pictures so they enlarge and fill my whole screen and just gaze at them. The warm Kaffe is really spectacular in color, value and movement. Hope that amaryllis bloom opens soon!
Those various repeating square patterns have so much movement in this one--your eyes just look for more of them--lovely finish!!

I'm enjoying watching my first ever amaryllis grow! It seems to be gaining a couple of inches each day after a very slow start (6 weeks). Can't wait to see it bloom. Love the Kaffe quilt!
I like the colors in the quilt - the colors just seem to flow into each other blending the color from one to the next.
I have one amaryllis that is about to open also
Love that warm Kaffe Collective quilt top — the colors work together so beautifully, and (to me) the mix of setting triangles (2 fabrics, but you might not know unless "you know") is just perfect! A bright spot in a cold January!
Love all your recent finishes and your Amaryllis progress. I have to say I'm intrigued with your cross canoe blocks. I know you used a die to cut the fabrics but I look and think that maybe if I placed 2 squares together I could cut and sew them back together and get something that looks like yours haha. I'm going to give it a try when I have time, just so I can get the idea out of my head and I may end up making more :)
Using two different big Kaffe florals in the setting triangles was GENIUS! It's gorgeous.

Great shot of the Wold moon. I saw it a few nights ago before it was full, but it's been cloudy (snowy) ever since. You're moving right along at finishing the 16 patches and getting lots of canoes sewn.

This is a gorgeous quilt, I love the way the 16 patches on the edge fade in and out of the triangles.
The moon was gorgeous last night, and with all the snow on the ground, it was quite bright all night.
I am so amazed at how much you get done! But, then, I guess that's what happens when you actually DO SOMETHING isn't it? Lovely work.
16 patch with your creative designing is yet another super star. Love it ❣. Your fabric combinations in each one of the crossed canoe blocks are so unique and different. The moon has been putting on a spectacular show here in the mountains too. Fun to see yours.

Crossed Canoes is one specialty die I might consider buying. Do you have any tips on stitching the pieces together?
It is rather strange to see you describe last night's moon. Our moon was also quite yellow and bright. It came up through the trees about 7 PM. I didn't know it is called a Wolf moon..... love your completed quilt.
I'm just not usually a fan of Kaffe's but this quilt really speaks to me. It is obviously due to your fabric placement: good work! I'm also living vicariously through you with your amaryllis. What fun!
The quilt top is fabulous! I am looking forward to seeing that amaryllis burst into bloom.

Your latest 16 patch here is a beauty, no-one could not be cheered by looking at this! I am a "moon gazer"so no surprise that I love your photo of a Wolf Moon, the first full moon of January 21 isn't it?
