Cleaning off the table tops............

This is the cutting table in my main floor studio yesterday morning.  I had raised the leaf and put a second cutting mat on it for a project last week.

After a very lazy relaxing day yesterday this is my progress.  There is at least one more 2 hour session to finish up.  I can even fold the leaf down now and use the original cutting mat.

My Christmas dinner was delivered by my son, prime rib and roasted veggies.  Yum!!

I sent some scones home with him.

Jack Frost visited on Christmas morning.  It was 9 degrees when I got up.  I think it made it up to 21 yesterday.

One pale pink bloom is fully opened, the other almost open.  This is the second blooming for this plant.  It has bloomed as many as 5 times one winter and at least 3 times most winters.  Last year was the exception when it only bloomed once.

I haven't as yet gotten to my "cleaning up"--still in the throes of getting my Flying Geese piece together...cut-offs and fabrics all over...
Cold here this morning only 25 degrees after yesterday's 59!!
Hugs while figuring out border sizes Julierose

I don't think I've seen those views before of your main floor studio - I like seeing all the places you create your wonderful sewing projects. No more flowers on my little cactus - it's still alive - I've not killed it off yet.
Ok, back to the grindstone - washing to finish ready for daughter going 'back-to-work' tomorrow, but we did have a nice quiet day yesterday. Hope all went well for you :)

Merry Christmas from Rhode Island! We too had a very quiet day. COVID has certainly limited our gatherings. Stay well!

I think I could easily spend a whole day tidying my sewing space. It’s very small so gets cluttered easily. I’ll be starting a new project on New Year’s Day so this would be a great time to get it done!

I don't think I've ever seen Jack Frost like that before. Maybe next year we can gather as families at Christmas.

We had steak and baked potatoes with homemade apple crisp. YUMMY. Our high yesterday was 21 (feels like temp). But the sun was shining so we didn't mind at all. Congrats on the clean up progress - I"m headed upstairs to reclaim my cutting table from serving as package wrapping central.

The cutting table looks great. Clearing the house is something I try to do every year - start the new year right! Would you mind showing us a closer look at the artwork on the walls? They look beautiful from a distance! We had snow, a level 2 snow emergency that downgraded to level 1. Good thing we could just stay inside! Your meal looks delicious!

"JACK FROST" leaving his winter welcoming artwork. I too am always fascinated with the beautiful frosty designs. Your relaxing day was meant to be, with some cleaning and a delicious dinner that you did not have to prepare yourself.

that's a great project to get done! It always feels so good to get your space organized!

A friend of mine delivered a lovely prime rib dinner to me for Christmas too. It was so good and my favorite part was a piping hot baked potato.

Merry Christmas Wanda!
