16 patch blocks.............
I cut 36 blocks from the stratas I had sewn and got 18 of them sewn while I watched TV last night. There are 2 blocks alike from each strata so I'm just sewing one of each so I can start designing the quilt.
I used to give all of my smallest scraps to my friend Rosemary. She made 2 Christmas wallhangings with lots of the scraps and gave them both to me. I have this one up on my design wall in the studio. The other one is on my refrigerator. This one is 12.75" x 16.75". The little log cabin band across the bottom is a pocket with the top held in place by buttons.

And such pretty strata...
Stay safe, hugs on a very cold day here Julierose
What a great idea - give away your scraps and you get a work of art back in return - lovely swop :)
36 blocks cut and 18 sewn together... You're on a roll again Wanda. Looking forward seeing them on your design wall.
Your friend Rosemary created such a wonderful Christmas wall hanging with your scraps. Such fine and tiny needlework, I admire her for working on such a small scale. Please tell how beautiful her work is.

Those blocks are beautiful. 18 done - you are doing good! Cute Xmas tree. Maybe I should give away some of the scraps I have!
What a wonderful little tree quilt - I hope you'l share the other one, too.
Rosemary is a great friend! I love that tree quilt.
