June 2017 monthly recap...........

I finished two quilts in June.  One was the modular quilt made with Dutch Wax Batiks and the other a Trip Around the World made with Australian fabrics.  This makes 17 finished quilts so far for 2017.  Since 2010 the most quilts I have finished in one year is 26 so maybe I can break that record this year.
I also finished two table toppers each about 16" square.

I completed two quilt tops.  The one on the left was completely made in June and the one on the right was waiting for a few years for its borders.  I finished sewing on the wide borders at 10:30 last night.  It measures 79.5" x 99" now.

That is the perfect border for your most recent top. I'm glad you were able to finish the Dutch wax batik and the TAW - they are both beautiful.

You really know how to make beautiful quilts Wanda. I think you are like the Energizer bunny with gardening, quilting, baking, church charity work, blogs-I want your energy.

Congratulations on all the beautiful finishes! I am at my daughters' helping her put in a flower garden, so no sewing for me. I am cutting out a quilt for her while I am here.

They're all so fabulous - the one that really grabbed my eye was the top you finished last night - love that border fabric!

Looks like a good month for you! I'm think of using your timer method (O"Quilts) for my scrap sorting but I think I would find it helpful in allocating time other projects.

The first two are my favorites of all the quilts you've made. First, I envy your African fabric stash. I can only hope to collect an indigo collection like that one day, even in scraps, and the way you assembled the pieces is perfect. Second, I so enjoyed your explanation of the trip around the world quilt as you were making it, and the final is so nice to look at. Thank you for sharing them with us!!
