No sewing..........
Baking cookies, cleaning off tables, finishing the vacuuming of the basement.......those were the things I was doing instead of sewing yesterday. I'm sharing one last photo that my daughter took of me in April this year. She wanted to document this quilt with the book it is published in. It was a finalist in the AQS worldwide contest with the block that year being the Log Cabin. If you want to read the story about this quilt go here.

Beautiful quilt. Great pic of you too! Looking at the pic, I realize anew what a lovely neutral color your living room walls are. Who needs beige or taupe!
I don't remember reading that post about the slide missing and getting in a book! so nice for you and love the quilt
What a wonderful way to document this fantastic quilt. I sure do love the border fabric!
Great picture Wanda, of you and the quilt! I've gotten to like the wonkiness of some of your quilt creations, and on this one, I'm especially fond of the zebra border.
Finally, a day on the cool side. Yesterday, while at our daughter's house for a birthday party, we had one heck of a storm, with strong winds, but when we returned home, all was dry here. Crazy weather!!!
Love the pix of you and the quilt! I always like how black and white (and grey) set off colors.
Really nice picture of you and your quilt, I told my husband you are as sweet as you look. I'm thinking the border is zebra stripes. We had rain here yesterday and lost electricity three times. Went out for a dog walk and found out our truck windshield was broken from a tree limb.
Congratulations, Wanda! I love your story about the missing slide - some things just ARE meant to be...
Hi Wanda,
I'm not getting much done in the way of quilting either. I broke my Brother machine - total operator error. It's in sewing machine hospital now.
Now off to read about you and your amazing quilt.
Wonderful story, lost slide, and now in the book. This is indeed your very own quilt.
A quilt with a story- what could be better? Love the photo of you, your house and your quilt. I love everything in the photo! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Cool!
What a great story, I didn't know you had to send slides in for competitions. Is that because the colour shows up better? I haven't met you but it's a great photo and I agree about the colour on your walls, down with beige!
Lovely photo Wanda and a great story in your linked post!
GREAT post - love this photo of you with your awesome quilt.
This post is a total favorite. Your quilt is superb -- and you are such a nice person -- as they say about food and wine -- you are an amazing pairing! (You are the wine!)
What a great story that is and definitely meant to be!! This is a wonderful photo to document the quilt and honor.
It's a beautiful quilt. You're looking good too. It's nice to see some of your house with your quilts on the wall.
Great picture of your you and your beautiful quilt. Congratulations, Wanda.
