More pieces.............

While looking for all of the pieces in suitable sizes for the mug rugs I also pulled all of the small mindless piecing stash and put it randomly up on a design wall.  I need to do a lot of playing around with the pieces, turning some in the other direction.  It will be similar to the one on my right sidebar that I call my second favorite but it will be larger.

When I went through the kitchen late yesterday afternoon I saw this crow walking on the path around the tree that I created in my back garden.  The crows rarely stop here and it is amazing to me how huge they are compared to the other birds that do stop at my feeders.

I love the mindless pieces! The colors are so rich and they sparkle. I have to do more batik piecing so I can make one. With regular fabric crumbs, I cut those in spokes for a flowering snowball. I still need 40 to make a quilt.

Ooh! That's going to be wonderful! I have a bunch of what I just call "parts," but if I tried to put them all together, they wouldn't look nearly as brilliant and beautiful - though they'd have a charm of their own, I hope - because they're from so many different kinds of projects.
Not all og them are mine, I pick up a lot when others want to discard stuff they don't like, but I think it's too good to throw away. So there are batiks, prints, and solids, darks and lights, pastels and saturated, colors, neutrals, and black and whites, and everything in between.
Are you cleaning out all your mindless pieces, parts, and mugrugs for a reason or just "spring cleaning?
