I finished the binding last night and all that is left is coming up with my own name for this one. Streak of Lightning is the name of the pattern but it needs a name of its own. I love this quilt and I have a confession: about half of the blocks are made with fabrics that I don't even like and just wanted to use up. When making a scrappy quilt it isn't important to have every fabric as the star. Values are more important than colors in this one, and of course multicolor is one of my favorite themes. It finished at 70.5" x 90" so it is a little skimpy for a twin bed quilt unless you have a dust ruffle or wood side rails. It looks like a good couch quilt to me.
The art quilters are supposed to come today so I hope the weather doesn't get wild. It sounds like the severe stuff is south of us.

Someone said if it is ugly fabric if you cut it small enough it looks different. Must be true. The whole quilt is really sharp looking. Stay dry. Chris
Great quilt!! The colors really work well together. You're right - every fabric doesn't have to be the star!!
love it! It has an electric feeling to it, so I hope your quilt name includes that feeling of zings, or charged ions, or lightning bolts.............
The fabric values are just super, they give so much energy. The border is just so perfect, it pushes the quilt into a whole other sphere.
Very neat - love the contrast.
I love the quilt - it turned out beautifully. I too always think of using fabric I don't like cut up for a scrap quilt as you don't really see it so much then.
Love it! Sharon W...I need your ability to name quilts! Those are perfect suggestions! Now, when will I ever get to making one of those myself. It's on the list.
A sizzler! fun quilt.
Wow!!!! Another one I would love to make. Ugly fabrics are good to get rid of.

Gunilla
This quilt turned out great! The b&w border really sets off the zig zag blocks!
It turned out great! I end to get on with some finishes. Instead I have 4 new projects!
It looks incredible.
Lots of movement. Stunning! A good twin or sofa quilt. My quilt sizing guide for a twin quilt says 68" x 88".
Wanda, this is a total fabulousness! I LOVE it!
LOVE IT, Wanda! How about Zig Zag Zinger? :)
I see that you used a different layout than the one on Quilter's Cache. I like it.
I enlarged your quilt and it is even more stunning than the smaller photo. You have taken fabrics that were scraps and made them all into "stars'.

Beautiful quilt!!! I love the border... I am thinking, you must have some leftover strips which would be perfect for a small project for the Strip-easy Quilt Challenge. Check it out on my blog and see what you think. Happy Week!
I love this quilt! How about "Snake in the Grass" for a name?
That quilt "Zings" with pattern and colour. Cheers, jean.
It is wonderful!!!! I just made a few of these great blocks for an on line bee. Now I want to make some for myself.
My vote is: Lightning Strike. This quilt packs quite a punch and has a lot of pizzaz!
Love how it turned out! Always wonderful color.
That border is just perfect! Really is an attention getter. You did a great job and I think have inspired quite a few of us to try one ourselves. Kudos!
I love this quilt. So dynamic, and I love your border choice. Since I have been out of town lately I am catching up on some blog posts I missed, and I just saw the quilt you posted about on Saturday. (I have forgotten the name of that one)It is fabulous too. They are both so bold and colorful. They go really well with they name of your blog.
It's wonderful! When you have enough different fabrics in a scrappy quilt like this, the individual fabrics don't matter at all. You just have to have the right distribution of values and colors. And you, of course, always manage that beautifully!
I'm late to the comment party, but I add my praise. It's the border that makes this a "wow" -- the balanced b/w print emphasizes each of the dark/light prints in the blocks.
So, how much of the fabric you don't especially like do you have left?
Amazing. Beautiful. Dynamic. Great job !~!
The colors do work together with all that movement!
Great job on this one:)
Great quilt. i love it!
I think your choice of the black and white border really made this quilt sing. It does have a lot of energy and excitement in it.
Can you tell me how big the blocks are? I would love to make this quilt! It's really nice!
