A drop in temperature.........

The temperature a little after midnight yesterday was 63 degrees.  I went to church sewing circle in the afternoon and drove through light snow flurries on the way home.

I got 3 more low contrast stars made to add to the one from yesterday.
Shortly after I got home I went out and rescued my flowers from the accumulating snow.

I thought it was probably done snowing around 5 and took this shot of a bunny cleaning up under a bird feeder.

But.....it snowed for a few more hours and I got a shot of another bunny around 7:30.

This is not abnormal for us to have snow in April.  In fact in 66% of the over 100 years of records there is a significant snowfall in April.

Flowers with snowy backdrop.

Yes, but at least in April the end is in sight... We are supposed to get the drop in temps... and snow/rain mix and a frost warning... Love the stars!!!

Sure glad to see sunny star blocks! So far, just rain but waiting for the further drop and snow. A few daffodils have a little yellow peaking, so I don't think the flowers will be ruined. Need to make some bright blocks today and paint some flowers.

I cut some daffodils too - we are hovering around 32 right now and didn't get below it - glad I wrapped and covered some plants anyhow.

wooh! love those stars! and that's my favorite star pattern, too. I think it's called 54-40 or Fight, but it seems not many people actually call it that

Love your little red pitcher for the daffodils! I picked a nice bouquet of daffodils and hyacinths yesterday too--so cheery to see on the table when it is pouring rain today in Virginia.

Glad to see you rescued the daffodils/narcissus and can enjoy them while extending their life.

Let's hope that is the end of it. Thank goodness the poor daffodils did not have to be out in it.

The low contract stars are beautiful! It is unusual for us to have snow in April. It is not accumulating so it is frozen rain instead of just rain. I did have the windows open until about 1:30 a.m. and then it started to get cold. I haven't seen any bunnies this year. Between the owls and hawks they don't stand much of a chance.

Oh, my! It was thirties here last night, but at least no snow! Glad you save your flowers, and the blocks are gorgeous!

I hope this is the last of our snow days. I don't see any bunnies around my house as the hawks are always circling the sky. The squirrels are now bringing the black walnuts that they buried in the fall to my window sill. Daffodils are not yet blooming but soon. Enjoy your day.
