I don't usually watch the Oscars because I haven't seen the movies nominated and I really don't know the names of a lot of the current actors and actresses. I knew Barbra Streisand was supposed to sing though so I sewed the binding on this little quilt and did the hand sewing to finish it while I watched the show. I was lazy and laid it on the floor to take the photo so it looks crooked but it isn't really. I will take another photo today. It is 18" x 21.75".

I tried to watch the Oscars because I had seen a couple of the movies, but I just couldn't seem to "get into" the program. I love your zig zag quilt.
pretty finish. I rarely watch it, I don't care for all the thank you speeches and I have hardly ever seen most of the movies, I prefer to just check in the next morning and see who won.
The zig zag piece is so pretty! I was so tired I went to bed and taped the Oscars. I like to watch the arrivals to see the dresses. The only movie I saw (I borrowed it from the library) was Magic Mike. I thought the movie was pretty dumb and somewhat tacky at times, but I did appreciate the male form shown! Now I can watch it when I have time and fast forward any stuff that doesn't interest me.
Lovely-not the Oscars (never watch them) but your quilt!
Like you, I never see the movies so never watch the Oscars, but I could watch that zig zag all day!!!
Hand stitching your binding was far more interesting to keep your eyes on than the Oscars. Too bad we had to wait till almost the end to hear Barbara Streisand sing. It still bothers me they did not introduce her or acknowledge her performance.
All in all the 4 hours is way too long to pay tribute to Hollywood. And that did not include the Red Carpet stuff.

I love this quilts! I'm going to go get some batiks asap!
Hi, This is so cute - love it. What do you mean by being lazy how do you normally photograph your quilts?
We did not watch either. Awards shows are long and boring to me!
I didn't watch the Oscars. Too long. Did watch the first episode of Doc Martin. Good.
Love your mini batik!!!!!
