Still cutting.......

I taught a finishing class yesterday so I took along a lot of small pieces of Kaffe Fassett fabric to cut into strips for this project.  I started laying out 2 of the rectangles last night but I can see I have a lot more cutting to do.  There are 4 rectangles of each color group and there are 4 color groups in each light and dark.
I did a lot of cutting a couple weeks ago and more cutting yesterday and even though this looks like a lot, it isn't nearly enough.  There are 2-6 pieces in each pile plus the ones on the trays haven't been cut into 11" lengths yet.  It's a good thing I have another week before I teach the class.

I haven't shown my little entertainers lately.  I looked out the front window and saw this little guy perched on the remains of a bush that I cut down about 5 years ago.  I don't see the squirrels this near to the front of  my house very often.  They like the backyard where the bird feeders are.

That's a lot of cutting! Good thing you get to work with such yummy fabric. :D

And I do so love squirrels. That guy looks fat and happy despite this year's winter!

Love those Fasset fabrics.

If you are like me cutting can lead you to work on more than one thing at a time. As I cut I cut several size pieces. Good luck with your cutting in the next few days. Chris

Wanda, I don't know if you wrote about this previously but, what rotary cutter do you use? Since you do so much cutting I was wondering if you use anything special.

That's going to be such a rich and fabulous quilt!! The fabrics in the first photo are gorgeous -- almost glow!
We haven't seen any squirrels yet. Soon, I hope as it will mean winter's on its way out.

That's a whole lot of cutting. Thank God for rotary cutters. I remember having to do that all with scissors. Now I have scissors that spring open when I cut. I have many squirrels as there are many trees in the yard. I bought a squirrel proof feeder because they were eating all the food and not letting the birds have any. With the new feeder I no longer have problems.

Love the fabrics Wanda! Lovely to see some more photos of the squirrels. I'm actually holidaying in the US at the moment and have seen squirrels twice in the last week. One in LA and several yesterday at the Grand Canyon! We don't have squirrels in Australia so they're a real novelty!
