Preparing for classes again.....

The Turning Twenty series has stayed pretty popular because it uses 20 fat quarters, and so many people have collected fat quarters over the years.  I am teaching this one at Quilter's Heart here in Sandwich, IL so I went to the store and chose the fabric so the owner could make some kits too.

There are 2 layouts in the book "Turning Twenty Just got Better" that use the same blocks.  This is just blocks on the wall and neither has their border up there with them.  I have another group of fabric chosen which I will make a sample from too and I will end up with both layouts sewn.  The class is on the 31st of March.

I have a group interested in making this quilt too so I have a date set for it this month.  It is one of my favorites in Kaffe Fassett's book, "Simple Shapes, Spectacular Quilts".  This is one I started cutting for over a week ago and I have a lot more to cut.

I sold all of the notebooks with quilted journal covers and the bag yesterday so I won't be listing any on my other blog.  I hope to make some more soon though.

Have never made a Turning Twenty, but quilted a bunch for customers. Looks like fun! But I am in love with your Kaffe quilt. That is one of my faves too! Love it!

I made an original Turning Twenty and converted it to a "quilt as you go" pattern. It was a queen sized quilt that I did as a commission.

Again, I wish I lived close enough. I like the Fassett quilt with the diamond shapes.

That Kaffe Fassett quilt is a real stunner! Just about all of his quilts are, though. I love to just browse through his books.

The turing twenty layout are wonderful and the Kaffe quilt is rockin'! Congratulations on selling the journals and the bag. Now you have money to buy more fabric!

Great classes! Wish I could attend one of them. No sewing machine though. It's back in the shop.

Sure wish I was in your area to be able to attend one of your classes. I like your version of Turning 20. It is different than any I have seen before.

Never made the turning 20 but have seen it online when it was in it's hayday. Love the new twist it has been given. I love working with scraps. And the fq cabinet is a little too full...pulling 20 would be fun!

Always fun to see the different layouts with the same blocks. Was happily surprised to see the small prints being used. I have way too many small prints in my stash. I've been contemplating whether to give away or try and use. These two layouts have inspired me to use them.

Have never heard of "turning 20" series.... but I love the idea..... I have collected lots and lots of fat quarters. Love the Kaffe Fassett simple shapes.... have been collecting his fabrics also with no specific intention for them other than I love them!

I have not heard of the turning twenty either, but the Kaffe Fassett is my absolute favorite quilt of his. I've planned to make for months, so after I finish the one i'm working on, it's next. Can't wait to see your version.

Those are all gorgeous, and I really like the fabrics you've chosen for the Turning Twenty quilts. I haven't made one of those.

Wanda....LOVE that Kaffe project you are working on. Now I see why you insisted I have lights in my collection. :) The border really frames this one well.

You are amazing. Such energy. Your blog is the first one I read every day - love all the Kaffe fabrics you use. I need to sew them instead of collecting them.
Keep on quilting!
Wish you were near VA Beach.
