New trend with batiks

Have you noticed in the last couple years that some batiks have multicolored motifs?

equilter.com sent me a $5 gift certificate for participating in a survey so I had to order some new half yards of batik.

I haven't seen many critters in my back yard lately so I was surprised to see some activity last night.  The security light came on and one of the bird feeders was swinging.  Then I noticed something furry moving and another furry thing jumping and swinging at the bird feeder.  I have a plaster bowl between 2 frogs that is filled with water for the birds that one of the creatures was drinking out of.  It was 2 racoons.  I opened and closed the window with a bang a few times and they took off UP A WALNUT TREE!!  I could see their silhouettes from the neighbor's security light as they scurried up the tree.  I'm not fond of racoons so I hope they don't come back.

Very nice selection of batiks! So glad the raccoons don't come into our yard. Not too fond of them either.

Ohhh my those are pretttttty fabrics. :) That floral is nothing short of inspirational and just to wrap it up - I think "no" on those darn "r" critters.

Lovely batiks! I love them all - old, new, multicoloured. Can do without the raccoons though.

I love the look of the new batiks.

Wouldn't you love to know how many little night critters are playing around in the wee hours?

well that explains how my bird feeder kept getting knocked out of the tree and onto the ground. We kept thinking it might be raccoons but hadn't seen any.
Lovely fabric - I love all of them. I don't go fabric shopping real often so hadn't noticed what you say about the batiks.

Love the batiks. I'm always drawn to multi-color so now I am collecting tone on tone to go with them. Do you know what you will make?

Wow -- those batiks are gorgeous!! Love the one with the multi-coloured design!
We've had problems with raccoons on the roof garden almost every year but not this year.

I love the multicolor batiks and its friends, very summery! We've been having a skunk in our backyard along with raccoons and a ground hog that ate my spinach.

I think the big floral on the light is really a striking piece of fabric.
Do you eat the walnuts from your walnut tree? I have not seen a walnut tree- it is so interesting to see the different flora and fauna around the globe.
Have fun with your new fabrics.
Regards,
Anna

Yummy summer Sherbet I see .... when I look at those batiks.

Coons ! ! ! They seem to invade everyones feeders. Like you I do not like them because they can wipe out a feeder in a few minutes.
