Not much to say

It was another cold day in IL yesterday. I spent the day cutting for several projects and then last night did some crazy piecing while watching TV.My neighbor cut my grass and his for the last time this year. Now our lawns won't look shaggy as they go into winter.

I LOVE this square! I've always been a "color" person but lately browns are becoming a new favorite! I love every single one of the fabrics you chose.

Hello Wanda, I have been in the garden this afternoon and cut our lawn. Starting to do things again and the garden won this time. Still love your blog. I have Mum's old sewing machine - a hand one - so am going to try and quilt my quilt on that in the not too distant future. Thanks for the encouragement that I get when I visit!

Your randon piecing on the journal covers gave me the nudge to try it myself. What fun! I did a cover for a cheapy calendar/date book that I got in the supermarket, and everyone wants to know where I got it. I liked doing it because it was free-form, and was a project I could complete in a very short time -- kind of instant gratification.

Such fun. In looking at the fabric on the left, that's just one fabric, right? It *almost* looks piecede! Adds a nice touch with the marks running horizontally on the vertical piece.

Hi Wanda,
Love the block; so glowy!
Sounds like you are in "preparation mode" and will take off with more sewing soon.
Mowing the lawn late also seems to make it easier to rake leaves (unless you like a total body workout). Hah.

Crazy is something I just can't seem to do, but I so admire it!

Love this block... The center is warm and cozy blossoming into the rich chocolate brown. A stunning small design. Makes me want to make a batch of brownies.
