Sorting squares..............

I need to clear the trays of batik colorwash squares off my 2 dining tables in the basement.  I bought 10 more disposable aluminum cookie sheets at a dollar store and then filled them with the overflow from other trays and boxes.
This stack is already done.  I have 53 trays with each having an average of 24 different fabrics on them.  That is at least 1272 different fabrics to choose from.  The stack of trays is too tall to put the lid on the storage box.

As I was stacking then and putting then into the storage box I saw one more box...oh no, I thought I was done.  I might as well finish this project today.

Thanks for all the photos and the sorting illustrated. I need to buy more trays and not cram so many colors on one.

Well I have the squares I purchased from you, and the pans I bought from the local dollar store. Now I just need to find my time to start using your system. Those pans look as if each holds a single layer of squares of one color???

Wow that is a lot of fabric choices! The system you have for organizing them is great. The trays don't seem to take up much room.

Thank you for the photo and the count of how many different fabrics. I have printed it out and taped it to the inside of my fabric stash. Now when someone says I have so much or too many fabrics, I will point to your blog!!!!

Such organization you have! Guess I should begin cutting up some of my batiks and sort them then maybe one day I would make a color wash quilt. Yours are always delightful to view!!
