I want to make a quilt someday with black, gray, and white batiks. I collected them from several locations and laid them out to study them. I don't have any idea at this point what design I'll use. I need to look one more time to be sure I have found all of them too. I had a restful day yesterday and hopefully have recharged for a day of accomplishments today.
Today is my youngest child's 52nd birthday.

Nice assortment of black batiks. I made myself rest yesterday too.
You have a great selection of batiks.
Have a nice day
Oo, I can't wait to see what you do with these!

I hope it is triangles! It will be a very graphic quilt and can't wait to see what you do with it.
Good morning Wanda....I have always wanted to do a B&W quilt, but not from Batiks, as I don't have many of them. I do have an assortment of cotton fabrics in B&W, so I'm looking forward to see what decision you make regarding the pattern for it.
Doesn't it make you stop and wonder how our children got so old, when they become senior citizens. Our youngest will turn 56 in February, and out eldest, 60 this past October. I have a harder time adjusting to their ages, than I do to my own How about this great weather!
Congratulations on your son's birthday!! It always gives me a jolt when I am reminded how old my children are. LOL
Those fabrics are lovely, I have a hard time to find really pale batiks here, and haven't seen one that is really white. 52 years, wow, celebrate , and think how fast they have gone.
I have always had a black and white quilt on my list. I have made a black and white with pops of bright pink baby quilt. Can't wait to see what you come up with. On another note, my husband had some annuals in pots on the back porch. Well, while still blooming some of them were pitiful looking. I finally dumped them last night. I thought of you when I did it. So sad to see the color go.
Ooooooh, another new project for me to look forward to - nice batik fabrics as well.
It's getting colder here now but I still have some Fuchsia & Begonia's in flower, just!
My car goes in for it's yearly test tomorrow, (called M.O.T. here) so hopefully it goes well, though I think it may need a new battery.
Happy Birth Day to you and your son - my daughter was 52 last January:)
Happy "birth" day to you, Wanda. The fabrics will make a gorgeous quilt. I imagine something very graphic with those.
Great fabrics! I would also put a litte red on it.

Hello Wanda!
OMGosh I found someone like you!! I'm getting there...radiant free quilting with fabrics & top stitching that is BIG WOW! My work is different from friends. They like it yet don't really understand it. They say it's nice. It is art & it's fun and jubilant.
Do you show your work somewhere?
I live on a farm south of Streator. We go to the Sandwich fair but other than that, I like Morris a lot! Would love to see more of your work. You're incredible!
Let's meet at LettieMae's in Morris for lunch sometime?
Truly, Jude, down on the farm...
ps:I have a 41 year old son. And I was a late bloomer....:-)
Looking forward to your B&W. By the way, what is "radiant free quilting?" I've never heard that term before. Please answer on your next blog post. Thank you.
