I was outside just before sunset and noticed the burning bush has fully turned color and is dropping leaves.
I don't remember it having so many berries in previous years.
Red and green...that is nature's beautiful combination. When I say I am mowing my grass, I am really mowing wild strawberry, Creeping Charlie, clover and grass.
I really hate to dump my pots while they are still blooming so nicely. It has been in the low 60s and is going to continue to be warm for about another week. I know I will enjoy cleaning up more while it is warm than I will when it is freezing out but I think I'll give some of them a few more days.

I am with you- I cannot bear to throw away flowers until they are all done or frost killed. When I went on a walk in my neighborhood the other day, I saw garbage bags (we have to use clear) filled with gorgeous begonias, geraniums, etc that I could have cried. If it gets too cold to dump them, I stack them in my garage and dump on a warmer day. There are too many months without blooms, that I cherish each blossom.
That pot of flowers is so pretty, I'd hate to get rid of it too. Looked at your African color wash, so pretty.
Oh no....you can't get rid of the pot when it looks so nice. ;-)
We have a large burning bush and I have never seen berries on it. How do you do that? Please answer on your next blog post.
