A full day............

A friend stopped by yesterday morning and we decided to cut a quilt for her and one for me on Friday.  We pulled out my Stonehenge fabrics that have been collected over the last 5 years.  I need to study the pattern to see if we need more yardage to add another row to it.

I went to church sewing circle yesterday afternoon.  I knew there was going to be a detour because a railroad crossing was being repaired.  What I didn't know was the the detour headed us into a construction zone.  What a nightmare!  I was 15 minutes late and I took a different route home, a much longer way to avoid the area.

Last night I worked on cleaning up a front flower bed.  It is in the sun until late afternoon so evening is the best time to work there this hot summer.  I cut many volunteer trees, pulled out yards of bindweed, and dug out a large plant.  One more night and I think it will be a lot more presentable.

I hate road construction areas and around here at least I know where they are but when I hit the next large town over you never know - love stonehenge fabric

There has been a lot of construction starting this month. I wonder why they didn't start earlier? There is a place they call the central interchange where I-77, I-76, and Route 8 all intersect in the center of Akron. It is a nightmare to begin with especially in rush hour, but ODOT closed several of the ramps going from one highway to another yesterday so I can't even imagine what the traffic will be like. I will probably have to add 20 minutes to a half hour to my trips going south because of the construction.

Great fabric!

Portland is unfortunately the fastest growing city in the US right now and that means construction everywhere. It sucks. Luckily we can walk most places we need to go.

You must mean the one in Oswego !! Yes, I was stuck in that mess yesterday afternoon, too ! Have to find another way around/thru Oswego, not on 71 or 34 !!!

That's going to be an interesting quilt. I'd like to get a bit more gardening done on the cooler days before my surgery in a couple of weeks. It's satisfying once it's done.
