That is a 72" x 90" quilt in that pile. I finished sewing the 192 triangle blocks last night. I will start pressing them today and then the fun begins at the design wall. I showed a few trial layouts back in May on this post. A few people expressed opinions at that time. My favorite is the zig zag layout but I will try a few things before I decide.
I mowed two thirds of my yard when I got home from the baby shower Sunday and the other one third late yesterday afternoon. It is going to be hotter the next couple days so I had to get it done. Brush pickup was yesterday morning so the branches are off my driveway and I won't have to mow for at least 6 days. Quality sewing time ahead.

It is amazing to think a quilt will be made from that pile of pieces! I can't wait to see your layout!
I thought layout #2 was appealing: the zigzag layout is "jarring" and the third one is just bland (which won't do for your work AT ALL!)
I apologize for not remembering if you mentioned this before but what ruler do you use for triangles? Can't wait to see this one.
We've been away for a few days so am catching up here. I love the background that you are using on the butterflies. It makes the fabrics pop.
Glad to hear that the tire was replaced for free. It's a good thing that it went flat slowly rather than a blow out.
Enjoy the sewing time. I'm sure you will come up with the perfect setting for the blocks.
I have the same question as Lisa it looks like the corners are trimmed off?
Looking back at the post again I do prefer the zig-zag layout.
