Unwinding time...........
I was gone for 6 hours with the funeral, a long procession from the funeral home to the cemetery and lunch afterwards. I saw many cousins, nieces and nephews that I don't see very often. It was a nephew 65 and single that passed away. He was 9 years old when I married into the family. After all of the socializing I just needed to unwind so I spent a few hours reading this book, #25 in the Prey series. I think there is just one more book in the series to read after this one. The weather changed late in the afternoon yesterday so the windows are open once again and A/C turned off.

My FIL passed away last week. My introvert personality needed that same quiet to re-energize. I picked up a book as well and enjoyed the quiet solitude that I find in a book. Ann Rule was my present choice.

it is always great to get caught up with relatives we do not see for along time but the reason - a funeral is such a sad time to do it - it was the anniversary of one of my brothers death yesterday.
we too are getting cooler dryer weather finally - the windows are open this morning, do not know for how long but at least part of the morning.
I've been listening to this series as the titles become available at our local library.
I needed a break from packing and read Harlan Coban's book, Six Years. It's nice to unwind and escape.
I've just checked my library on-line and they have 10 audio books from the 'prey' series and 6 from the Virgil Flowers series. I'll have to listen to a few I've already got before I can start on the prey series. I went to 6 cremations last year and felt very 'down' for a while but finally happy again within myself. Happy reading (or listening as in my case) and enjoy the coming week and back to sewing :)
I enjoy John Sandford -- both Davenport and Flowers -- especially the audio versions narrated by Richard Ferrone. On yesterday's flight from Calgary to O'Hare I read "A Man Called Ove," by Frederik Backman. One of my favorites of the year -- a charming love story.
But I'm looking forward to getting back into my studio and sewing!
I don't believe I've ever read any of John Sanford's books. Is it necessary to read the series in order?
