I decided I needed to stick with it and finish this quilt top yesterday. It was too hot and muggy to do anything outside. This Kaffe/Brandon/Philip/Martha and plaids/stripes quilt top ended up 72" x 95". The triangles (cut with my Studio die cutter) are 6" finished. To recap the process, I first randomly sewed 2 triangles together making sure one was darker than the other. Then I designed and made 2 identical halves since I had 4 of each combination so one half is flipped 180 degrees and sewn the the other half. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
I'm linking to Scraptastic Tuesday since this definitely looks like a scrap quilt! A good share of it was cut from scraps as well as some from yardage. Check out all of the other links.

Love it! You have such a way with color and design.
Neat - Love it -- hot and sticky here too - went outside yesterday morning to enjoy the porch for awhile at 9:30 and after a half an hour came back in sweating and it had only been 80 at that time.
This is beautiful! So much movement
I really do like how this quilt has turned out - the colours, the design, the 3d effects with the inner squares.
It's a lot cooler here today and it rained overnight. Perfect weather to stay indoors and watch the Olympics - so far USA 32 / UK 12 Not bad going for a little country like ours. I'm looking forward to the track and field events.
Hot and steamy here yesterday and steamier today.... all thanks to some tropical storm down south.... Love the quilt... top too.
Wow. Just stunning. The colors and values, the center, and overall sparkle make me want to keep looking and looking. What size die did you use to cut the triangles?
It's just perfect, I love this layout. I knew you would make a gorgeous quilt top and you did. Yes, it's really hot and muggy here too, the humidity feels like a wall when you open the door.
Stunning in the photo - I can only imagine how gorgeous it is in person. Wow!
I absolutely love it!
This sparkles! Thank you for the detailed information on size and process.
A visual beauty. Love the color play.

This is just a glorious riot of color and pattern - exuberant! :)
Kaffe, Brandon, Philip and Martha play very well together! Beautiful.
Beautiful scrappy quilt!
It turned out wonderful! It is hot and humid here too. The worst thing is the way the light has changed in the last in the last week and a half. I have a window next to my sewing machine where I have been doing my hand stitching and by 7 the light has faded to the point I can hardly see.
Thank you for the explanation on how you cut and put everything together. I've not bought a triangle die cutter yet (just squares). It's HOT here in Dallas so I understand. Beautiful finish.
Wanda, this quilt is awesome! Love the colors, and how it sparkles!!
I have enjoyed following along.....
Thanks so much for sharing!

Course, I adore your use of color - very exuberant color!
Fabulous !!!!!!!!!!!!
...and it is completely beautiful. I love your work, Wanda, and following your process. I would never have noticed that the quilt is two identical halves.
