I sewed the top strip with cornerstone to the 24 blocks. Now I'm ready to go to the design wall with them. Then I can add end of row strips and bottom of the quilt strips and sew the top together.

Oh I lole-love this your magic red-black-white square (log cabin?)
Like the changes. The finished circle in the almost middle makes a big difference.
re: DP ~ I too like the one in progress, has a nice flow to it. Even if it is called Drunkard's Path. Your African fabrics are mesmerizing, I see something different the longer I study it.

I read some comments yesterday and thought you might head that direction, but hoped you wouldn't. I didn't have a clue how to make it work, but I knew I loved the African prints and concepts. I see it today and adore it, but I would never had had an idea how to make it this beautiful.
Wow, you did it! Subtle changes but they made a big difference. I'm glad you didn't remove those black/gold blocks entirely. They way they sit now, they add particular interest but don't distract overall.
I love that fussy cut circle that you added to the mix! I like this version much better than the first, too. What a fun quilt!
That added bit of black and gold really has made this work. It's quite striking.
I love the fabrics that you have used they marry up so very well.
Wanda, I really enjoy seeing how your layout tweaks always improve the whole. I can't even see what you did, I just can see it's better. LOL
Taking the small circle out of the center made a big difference. Even better now.
I like how you changed the circle towards the upper left. Now it's a full circle and I think it looks good that way. Patty
