Blue and green

It's time to reveal the blue/green quilt top now that the art quilters have seen it.  It ended up about 60" x 78" which is a nice size couch quilt.

I finished sewing all of the rest of the blocks for the quilt in progress that I showed yesterday.  They need to pressed and then I'll move all of the blocks to a double design wall.

The blue/green look so very peaceful... I can see a forest and a lake with a cool breeze... Very nice!

I love the fabric in the blue/green quilt. Are the thin strips sewn to the blocks with random cuts or are the blocks cut with a specific measurement? I certainly enjoy reading your blog every morning with coffee! Thank you! Someday I hope to tackle just a handful of your wonderful works of art!

Oh, wow! This is absolutely breathtaking!! Did you know in your head beforehand how the blocks were going to fall to make the transition? Did you know how many blocks had to have a blue or green stripe? I don't know how I would ever figure it out. The size is perfect. I like quilting that size best.

The blue-green might not be your favorite "go-to"color combo but you created a real beauty with those blocks!

I LOVE it!

A LOT!

Congratulations!

Green is on my 'not favorite' color list. However, your quilt turned out beautiful. I love the blue at the top (or bottom), reminds me of a lake with the blue on top and the green lower down. A beautiful quilt.

Oh, my! That blue/green is even better than I thought it would be. My eyes literally danced all over it when I enlarged the picture. It is just gorgeous. I really like the newer one, too. I'll be waiting with bated breath to see it all come together! You are a continual inspiration.

I love the blue and green quilt---simple but very elegant because of the wide range of colors and fabrics. How will you quilt? I love to see the how quilted after piecing. I am mostly a hand quilter but often quilts benefit from machine quilting . Please share as you decide.

The blue & green quilt top is very relaxing and peaceful ( full of pieces). Little quilting humor for your Tuesday progress report!! Lol
I really like the cornerstone pieces you chose for the bottom quilt. It just adds the right sparkle of color--in between all the brights.

Oh so beautiful, restful blues and green. These colours remind me of the Indian Ocean.

Blue and green quilt is perfect! I love the way you set the green squares together in the one corner or half and the blue squares in the opposite. I doubt I ever would've ever thought of that - most likely, I would've just mixed them up more or less randomly.
I really look forward to making this quilt.

Wanda; Do you recall how big these blocks are and how thick the thin strip is? I'm putting together some Kaffe reds and purples and want to do something similar. these blocks look smaller than I was thinking, but I like the effect!

Thanks, Anne
